Homeschool Update: Day 28

We are at day 28 of preschool homeschool, which Drake wanted to name "Purple School" today instead of homeschool. His academic learning has progressed tremendously in the last month. He started out identifying about 6 uppercase letters a month ago to identifying 43 of 52 (upper and lower) letters. He is doing better with coloring. He used to just scribble or draw circles and now he is able to draw lines on his own (1st picture) below. We call them roads so the animals can travel to each other (lol). I have picked up a lot of supplies including a large preschool workbook and I purchased the Phonic's preschool materials. I just got some finger paints which he really enjoyed. We took a field trip this week to the donut shop in town, of course he loves donuts! 

Homeschool

On 1/28/16 we made the decision to home school Drake. It has a choice that we have been considering for well over a year. It is a very exciting option for us! I will start modifying this blog to include home school information and updates. We will be working on pre-school work to prepare Drake for Kindergarten work. We will officially start Kindergarten July 1.

Been awhile since I posted. Here is a video from the chinese buffet, one of his favorite places to eat. He's eating a fortune cookie and laughing at daddy acting silly while walking back to the table.

It's been a year since we picked up Drake at the orphanage! This last year has gone by really fast and Drake has grown so much! He was 24 lbs and 34.5 inches tall last year and now he is 35.4 lbs and 38 inches tall
